Jordan introduces Alternative Energy Mandate Repeal
Kris Jordan recently introduced SB 216, which would repeal the Ohio Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard. This job-killing mandate would cost Ohio energy consumers upwards of $1.5 billion in 2025, when the mandate is scheduled to be fully phased in.

Ohio Death Tax dies with biennial budget
This past February, Kris Jordan introduced SB 90, a bill to repeal the Ohio "Death Tax". Thanks to an amendment to the FY 2012-2013 Ohio budget, the Ohio estate tax will be a thing of the past as of January 1, 2013. This job-killing and investment-discouraging tax has long held back Ohio's economy, and thanks to the efforts of people like Kris, it's no longer a part of Ohio's future.

Ohio Elections Commission Panel Dismisses Collier's Complaint
(DELAWARE, OH) - State Representative Kris Jordan (R-Delaware) applauded today's decision by members of the Ohio Elections Commission to dismiss the complaint filed against him by former legislator Thom Collier. Commission members found no probable cause to proceed with a formal hearing on the merits of Collier's complaint. The statements in question include four tax liens filed against Collier between 1991 and 2008 for failure to pay taxes.

COLUMBUS — Warning that a budget tidal wave is on the way, two House Republicans Wednesday broke with their party to support a temporary rollback of an income-tax cut promised to Ohioans four years ago. "If we can find a way to rise above politics, perhaps we can rise above the storm,’’ said Rep. Matt Dolan (R., Novelty) as he joined all Democrats in voting to delay for two years the last 4.2 percent increment of a total 21 percent, five-year personal income tax cut paid by individuals and many small businesses.
